- Each year, West Yorkshire Spinners process thousands of kilos of British wool; every spin leaves an excess amount of material that would usually end up as waste. These fibres are collected and sent to a local production partner to card, comb and convert back into tops before being spun into yarn and dyed into Wool Revival.
Wool Revival is machine-washable at 30 degrees. It is a DK (Double Knitting) yarn made using 80% Recycled British Wool with 20% Recycled Nylon, making it ideal for hand knitted or crocheted socks. It is available in a number of colours.
Ideal for everyday garments and accessories including socks, Wool Revival DK is warm, cosy and lovely to knit or crochet with. It offers excellent stitch definition with a crisp finish that makes the colours pop. West Yorkshire Spinners Wool Revival DK is proudly spun in Yorkshire using fleece from sheep reared and sheared in the UK.

West Yorkshire Spinners was founded in 1997 during a time when many spinning mills were closing due to the increase in yarns being imported from overseas. This was also a time when natural fibres were now in decline, giving way to synthetic, man-made fibres and an opportunity was spotted for more sustainable products.
West Yorkshire Spinners built a spinning mill from scratch with a strong reputation for high-quality natural-fibre yarns. They work closely with local farmers and champion British wool and its fascinating heritage. Today they have a range of unique and innovative products that demonstrate what can be achieved by blending British wool and manufacturing ingenuity.
Still a family business today, all West Yorkshire Spinners products are spun in the Aire Valley, West Yorkshire. They develop yarn blends and colours in-house taking inspiration from seasonal trends, as well as shades that suit the fibre.
