The different types of alpaca wool

- Suri alpaca yarn is made from fibre from the Suri breed of alpaca. This breed has a coat made from long ringlets of fibre. The fibre from these animals is long and silky, which will create a shiny yarn with excellent drape.
- Baby alpaca yarn just refers yarn spun from an alpaca fibre that has had all the long, coarse hairs removed. This creates a superior fibre that is incredibly soft. Baby alpaca yarn doesn’t come from baby animals.
