What yarn subscriptions are available?

We currently offer yarn subscriptions to the Market Town Yarns Monthly Subscription Box which provides you with exclusive colourways from the wonderful Market Town Yarns. You can subscribe on a monthly basis or purchase several months at once as a gift. 

What yarn bases are available with my wool subscription?

The great thing about our knitting subscription is that it can be tailored just for you. There are a number of different yarn bases to choose from - including Squishy Sock yarn, Squishy DK yarn or the luxury base of Bluefaced Leicester and silk. You can elect to receive a 100g skein or a 100g skein with a 20g skein in a contrasting colour.

Unsure which base to choose for your yarn subscription? We recommend choosing based on what you’d like to knit or crochet.

For silky shawls, drapey scarfs and luxurious jumpers, go for the Market Town Yarns Luxury Base. The combination of fine Bluefaced Leicester wool and sumptuous silk is a real treat to work with.

If you’re all about socks, choose Market Town Yarns Squishy Sock yarn. This base is also great for lightweight jumpers, hats, and shawls. A blend of soft merino wool and super-strong nylon, it’s also completely machine washable.

For extra squishy slipper socks, mittens, and hats (as well as cosy blankets) choose Market Town Yarns Squishy DK yarn. This base is thicker than the other two and will knit up faster using slightly larger needles.

What can I make with my yarn subscription?

What you make with your knitting or crochet subscription box is up to you! If you select the Squishy Sock Yarn, you could knit yourself a pair of socks for each month of the year. If you like two-tone socks, check out the Squishy Sock with the contrasting mini skein.

Other single-skein ideas include a hat, pair of mittens, or a small shawl or scarf. Or use several skeins to make a colourful jumper or a larger shawl.

For those who prefer one big project, a patchwork-style blanket is a great choice to show off all the beautiful colourways in your wool subscription. You can work on it a little bit each month - and by the end of the year you’ll have a gorgeous piece that is truly one of a kind.
