Where is Herdy from?
This unique brand originates from the Lake District in Cumbria. The adorable character of Herdy was inspired by the Herdwick sheep found in there.
Since Herdy was founded in 2007, their mission has remained the same: to make people smile with their herdwick sheep gifts! They are also committed to giving back to rural communities and upland fell farming. To do this, they set up the Herdyfund, an official charitable fund.
Since their launch, Herdy has grown steadily and are now an international brand, with connections to the USA and Japan. We are proud to offer a range of colourful, cute products from this amazing supplier!
Who is Herdy?
Herdy is the mascot and star of the Herdy brand! The character is based on the local herdwick sheep, who always look like they are smiling!
What is the Herdyfund?
The Herdyfund is an official charitable fund set up by Herdy. A portion of the company’s profits go to supporting upland fell farming and rural communities.
Some of the actions taken by the charity include providing training on building dry-stone walls and purchasing equipment for sheep farmers.
Are Herdy products made in the UK?
According to Herdy, 30% of their products are made in the UK. This percentage includes their fine bone china mugs, coasters, felting kit, and notebooks, which are all made in the UK.
