- The Cocoknits cloth is the ideal tool to help you check your gauge and make sure your handknits have straight edges and measurements. It is made from thin cotton and is pretreated before the fabric is woven to prevent stretching, shrinking or distortion. It is woven to 1"/2.5cm square gingham.
You can use this cloth under or over your handmade items while blocking to ensure correct measurements. Gingham checks have been woven to 1" squares for use as a two-dimensional ruler.
It will also protect knits while steaming by placing the cloth between hand-knits and steamer or iron.
