Mechita from Malabrigo is a beautiful hand dyed fingering weight yarn. It is single ply and 100% superwash merino which makes it perfect for shawls, scarves, garments, accessories, baby and kids items, lace, cables, textured stitches.
This brand new collection 'Cuentos Magicos' (Magic Tales) is inspired by children's stories. Some of the colours work perfectly, just let us know if you would like to see photos of any together.
Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. To ensure random colour distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.

Malabrigo was started by two brothers-in-law using a kitchen pot back in 2005. From these humble beginnings, a large but still family run business took root. The company is located in Uruguay, South America and produces soft fibres with colours that are inspired largely by nature.
